Fredrik and Mats founded Dune in Oslo, Norway.

They were cleaning up Ethereum data to one paying customer. After several months of hard work, rejections, and no salary, a pre-seed round was raised.

Still only two founders with a big mission: raising a seed round. The bear market turned into DeFi summer, and things were looking up.

We hired our first full time employees and started a bold project: rebuilding the Dune app from scratch. It gained traction in and outside crypto Twitter, securing a Series A that year, and the team grew rapidly.

Even the founders were surprised, yet we secured a Series B, propelling Dune to unicorn status with just 16 employees. Since then, our team has tripled, and we hosted our first Dune event in Berlin (DuneCon).

The adoption of Dune in the web3 industry continues to grow exponentially. We released many groundbreaking products like Dune AI and Data Hub and officially launched our Dune Enterprise solution.
